Trailer Solutions UK sells LED lights for trailers, caravans, and commercial vehicles across the UK. They needed a new e-commerce website that could showcase their product range, handle online orders, and support trade customers with dedicated pricing and account features. The previous site wasn't converting, lacked any marketing automation, and gave them limited control over how products were displayed.

They also had no systematic approach to SEO or marketing - products were listed but not optimised, and there was no mechanism to nurture leads or bring customers back for repeat purchases.

Design & UX

We designed a clean, professional e-commerce experience built around how their customers actually shop. The product catalogue is structured by vehicle type and use case, making it easy for customers to find exactly what they need. Trade users get a dedicated experience with bulk pricing visible after login, streamlined repeat ordering, and account management features.

Product pages were designed to convert - high-quality imagery, clear specifications, compatibility information, and prominent add-to-cart CTAs. The checkout flow was stripped back to the essentials, reducing friction and abandonment. The entire site was designed mobile-first, with a responsive layout that works beautifully across all devices.

What We Built

A custom WordPress theme with WooCommerce at its core, but heavily customised beyond what standard WooCommerce offers. Every product page template, archive layout, and checkout step was built from scratch to match the design and deliver the performance we needed.

Custom E-Commerce Pages

Standard WooCommerce templates weren't cutting it. We built bespoke product page layouts with enhanced image galleries, technical specification tables, compatibility matrices, and related product suggestions. Category pages feature smart filtering by vehicle type, light function, and brand - helping customers navigate a large catalogue quickly.

Custom Plugins for Trade Users

Trade customers are a significant part of Trailer Solutions' business. We developed custom plugins that handle trade user registration, approval workflows, tiered pricing based on order volume, and a dedicated trade dashboard. Trade users see different prices, can reorder from their history, and get access to bulk discount structures - all managed through the WordPress admin.

Automated SEO & Marketing

This is where the site really stands apart. We set up a complete automated marketing pipeline using AI tools, n8n, and Mautic.

Product descriptions, meta titles, and structured data (JSON-LD) are generated and optimised using AI-assisted workflows powered by Claude Code. Every product page has unique, SEO-optimised content rather than manufacturer copy-paste.

n8n orchestrates automated workflows across the entire stack - new order notifications, abandoned cart recovery emails, review request sequences, stock alerts, and customer segmentation. Mautic handles the email marketing, with automated drip campaigns for new customers, win-back sequences for lapsed buyers, and promotional campaigns for seasonal offers.

The combination means Trailer Solutions has a marketing engine running 24/7 without manual intervention.

Performance & Results

The site loads in under 2 seconds, passes all Core Web Vitals metrics, and is built on dedicated hosting infrastructure with Redis caching and CDN delivery. Sales are already up since launch, organic traffic is growing as the automated SEO content takes effect, and the marketing automation is driving repeat purchases and customer retention.
